A device attached to the muzzle of a firearm designed to reduce the amount of visible muzzle flash.
Though such a device is often called a “flash hider”, the effectiveness is generally not 100%.
Usage note: A flash suppressor should never be referred to simply as a suppressor, as that refers to a sound suppressor.
